Hanging out at the beach...

We've been spending a lot of time at the beach lately.

The drive isn't bad at all.

This insanity is part of an ongoing quest to rid our backyard of standing water. We have been having some drainage problems from our neighbor's yard lately which are exacerbated with any additional rainfall. I'm tired of telling Alastair he can only play on the patio when we went to such expense building him his "tower of power." This is eight yards of sand; our lawn guys have us to thank for some improved muscles, although I won't be checking the mail for a thank you card. Monday we'll have the "kiddie chips" delivered and will fill in some with more sod as well. The goal that that the kids will be able to play right after the rain stops with a quick slide/swing towel wipe down.

Alastair may cry when it is all covered up.
