Camping Weekend Part Two: Austin

A sight that makes my heart smile.

After our exciting camping weekend, we had two options: head home and be exhausted with a huge mess of bags to clean up or head off in search of more adventure and let the bags wait. We chose the second option. We wanted to check out a boat in Austin anyway and it was just the excuse we needed to head to our favorite city in Texas.

Hanging out at the Hut

First stop: Hula Hut. We saw the aforementioned boat parked out on the slip and after putting in our names at the restaurant, went out to check it out. Yuck: the search continues. No real disappointment for any of us though because we had a good lunch at the Hut, just down the road from the apartments where we both used to live.

Then it was off to campus to hit the Co-Op and get Emery on campus for the first time. She made a big splash and if it were August, I bet the girls would have tried to rush her. Alastair was excited to do his "hook em horns" again.

Then the four year old rebel in him took over.

A combined picture of my little hooligans.

They are free to go to any college in the country they want with the exception of one. Do I need to spell it out?

It's a miracle!

And by the end of the freeway entrance ramp, this blessed miracle occurred in the back seat. This is something we don't see a lot of around here anymore. He (and Em) slept the whole way home.
