This weekend we were treated to a visit from Alastair's Papaw (he says "Pipaw") and Mamaw Bowling. They live pretty far from Houston and we don't get to see them very often, but we pick right up where we left off when they show up and barely have room for breath with all the talking we do. Fun! Papaw shares Alastair's love of cars (and Kim's, so he's at least partly to blame for all the motor oil flowing in both of my boys' blood).
Papaw is a real baby guy and even got Emery to fall asleep at dinner when she was getting rather fussy. He sacrificed eating Lupe's fajitas to hold a fussy baby. That's love. They are building a house right now and we'll take a super long road trip out to Midland when it is complete.
