Quarantine
I was right and Alastair does indeed have hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD). Apparently, it is a very common virus this time of year and that most of us (adults) have already been exposed at some point. The good news is that although it is has "disease" in the title (scary, huh?) it usually runs about 4 or 5 days. So we're under baby quarantine till Thursday. It is transmitted through spit usually in kiddos this age, which is great for the virus, as putting things in their mouth is the official sport of babies. It usually works that way for adults too, so Kim and I solemnly vow right now not to lick anyone, at least until we know that we are out of the incubation zone. No need to thank us.
